Boo Hewerdine

For over 30 years Boo Hewerdine has been considered one of the UK's finest singer-songwriters. As lead singer of seminal band, The Bible through to his subsequent solo work and long-time collaboration with Eddi Reader he has become something of a national treasure. He is in demand as a writer, producer and performer. Over a hundred of his songs have been covered by the likes of KD Lang, Kris Drever, Chris Difford, Heidi Talbot and Hannah Rarity. His last album ‘Before’ was recorded with supreme Danish multi- instrumentalist Gustaf Ljunggren. It garnered multiple five star reviews.

Since then he has released a lockdown EP, Singularities and a new album on Reveal Records. 

Expect a great show filled with humanity and humour, which includes songs from his new album and his extraordinary back catalogue. A naturally gifted raconteur, Boo gigs are always a total joy.

Maia Eden

Maia Eden's musical background began at a very young age, singing in a church choir in the Scottish highlands. Since then, music has been Maia's love and refuge. After singing on many friends' albums and a successful period as a session singer, she was in various bands and then taught herself to play guitar and her songwriting began. Now as a solo performer, her personal lyrics about life and love bring Jackson Browne to mind, while her unique voice is reminiscent of Natalie Merchant and K.D. Lang. Maia will be bringing songs from her forthcoming album to the Hilltop Sessions stage in additoin to tracks from her debut EP, New Horizons. Maia, who is also a co-fonder of Hilltop Sessions, met Boo at a songwriting retreat in the Scottish Highlands where they performed together.
